Since being elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2024, I have been proud to serve the people of House District 98 in Tallahassee. As a University Professor, former Mayor of Oakland Park, and longtime community leader, I bring real-world experience to the work of governing.

In the legislature, I serve on the Health & Human Services Committee, the Health Professions & Programs Subcommittee, and several other key committees, fighting every day to lower property insurance costs, expand affordable housing, and protect healthcare for our seniors.

I believe in moving past divisive culture wars to focus on what truly matters to our families and neighbors. The strength of our district lies in its diversity, and I am committed to making sure every voice is heard.
